Why ARL through Utah State University
Alternative Route to Licensure (ARL) offers bachelor's degree holders a chance to earn their teaching license. The Utah State Office of Education has partnered with Utah State University to allow us to provide their pedagogy courses for Secondary Education licensure. In addition, we offer ARL students a unique opportunity to use their ARL coursework towards a Master's in Secondary Education.
There are many advantages to earning your Utah State Office of Education-Alternative Route to Licensure credits with Utah State University, including:
- Increased earning potential. One of the most important reason to earn your licensure through USU, is that the credits for licensure can also count towards a Master's degree in Secondary Education.
- Best value. Utah State University's Emma Eccles Jones College of Education is considered the best education program in the state. Yet, USU strives to keep tuition rates affordable. Students won't find a higher-quality teaching education for such a low price anywhere else.
- Location. USU is Utah's state school, so we have campuses in nearly every county of Utah, all of which offer the Secondary Education ARL coursework. Visit our map to find the campus location nearest you.
- Delivery. We understand that ARL students are usually full-time teachers with a busy schedule. That is why we offer our classes in the evenings. Our online, IVC (Interactive Video Conferencing), face-to-face, and web broadcast courses make it easy to connect with your professors and your peers to make the best of your education and your busy schedule.
