Undergraduate Admissions
In order to qualify for financial aid and to receive your degree, students must be admitted to Utah State University. It is a good idea to apply early, before April 1st for summer and fall semesters and by November 1st for spring semester.
For new freshmen, the criteria used to determine admission is based on their cumulative high school grade point average, and ACT or SAT test scores. GED scores may also be used for admission purposes. For transfer students, or students who have earned 24 semester credits of post-high school work at an accredited institution, admissions will be based on their transfer grade point average (GPA).
The application process consists of:
- Complete the application for admission and pay the application fee on-line at: http://www.usu.edu/admissions.
- If you prefer to complete this via paper, you can request that information from the Salt Lake Center.
- Submit the official transcipts and/or necessary test scores
Admission to the University is processed by the Admissions Office on main campus. However, if you need assistance through the admissions process, please contact the Salt Lake Center at (801) 269-9422.
